UPrint Global CC · Reg. 2010/068307/23 · Durban, South Africa

Last updated: September 2026

These terms apply when you buy or use UPrint RIP software. If you bought a printing system, consumables or training from us, those are covered by our Warranty & Terms instead.

1. Who we are

UPrint Global CC (“UPrint Global”, “we”, “us”), registration 2010/068307/23, based in Durban, South Africa. Contact us through the contact form.

2. What you are buying

A licence to use UPrint RIP software on your own computer. The software is sold in two editions, UPrint Studio RIP and UPrint Design RIP, and is delivered as a download for Microsoft Windows. You are buying a licence to use it, not ownership of the software itself.

3. Your licence

  • One computer per licence. Your order code locks to the computer you activate it on. You can reinstall on that same computer any time using the same code.
  • Changing computer. If that machine fails or you replace it, contact us with your order code and we will move your licence across.
  • Do not share your code. A code will not activate a second machine, and sharing it does not give anyone else a licence.

4. Subscriptions and perpetual licences

  • Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and the software keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • A perpetual licence is yours to keep for the edition you bought. Software updates are included for the period shown on your licence.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your country.

5. Free trial

We offer a 3 day free trial of the full software on request. It is the same build paying customers receive, not a limited demo. Ask us through the contact form and we will send you a trial code.

6. AI artwork uses your own account

The AI artwork feature in UPrint Design RIP runs on your own OpenAI account using an API key you provide. You pay OpenAI directly for what you generate, typically a few cents per image. We do not supply those credits, do not mark them up, and do not meter your usage. Your use of OpenAI is subject to their terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, resell, rent or redistribute the software or your licence code.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to defeat the licensing in the software.
  • Use the software to produce material that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s copyright or trade marks. You are responsible for the artwork you print.

We may suspend a licence that is being used in breach of these terms.

8. Payments and merchant of record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our software orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to payment and handles returns.

This means Paddle, not UPrint Global, is the seller of record for your software purchase. Paddle collects payment, charges any applicable sales tax or VAT for your country, and issues your invoice. Your payment card details are handled by Paddle and are never seen or stored by us.

9. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

10. Availability and liability

The software runs on your own computer, so it does not depend on our servers to keep working day to day. Activation, licence renewal and support do use our systems, and we do not guarantee those are available without interruption.

We provide the software as it is described on this website. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects the statutory rights of a consumer.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
